You'll note there's no longer a question mark at the end of that headline. The KLRN program helmed by former Express-News Editor Robert Rivard that we warned told you about in April is a go, according to the E-N's celebrity gossip columnist.
Jakle paraphrases KRLN's PR: "It has been long in the making and will focus on everything San Antonio — the people, the initiatives, the community..."
It is, nonetheless, apparently titled "Rivard," a nice tie-in for said former editor's eponymous lifestyle site, which most recently took a page from his former employer's "community" papers and posted the official missive of an elected official as an article.
KLRN, San Antonio’s public television station, is developing and market-testing a new interview program anchored by former Express-News Editor Bob Rivard, who now runs a PR and crisis-management firm and publishes a urban-lifestyle blog, the Rivard Report, with his wife, Monika Maeckle.
The station is shooting a three-episode pilot that will air on Thursday evenings in mid to late May. One episode features Chef Andrew Weissman (who reportedly tells Rivard, You realize you’re responsible for my being a chef), another Bruce Bugg, chairman of the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts and the Tobin Endowment. The third installment stars Laura Saldivar of Teach for America-San Antonio.
