Turns out rumors that Ralph Medina is likely to run again in Council District 1 next year, after losing to Diego Bernal in a run-off nearly a year ago, are just stories a few politicos tell to pass the time. Medina, a retired firefighter and real-estate investor, says he's given the matter zero consideration and is unlikely to make the race. "I really don't think so," he says. "I haven't thought about it, and I haven't talked about it with anyone. I don't have a problem with the job Diego's doing."
