The good corporate citizens finally arrived at the pro-bond party.
As we reported a few weeks back, architecture, engineering, and construction companies covered at least 77 percent of the first tranche of money feeding Build SA Now, the political action committee that's paying for the campaign for the City's $596-million bond package. All told, the PAC raised $234,150 in the first four months of 2012. But its most recent campaign finance report is just as impressive in its own way; PAC fundraisers brought in $115,000 between April 3 and May 2. And if any of the five bond packages goes down Saturday, it won't be for lack of campaign spending.
