JP candidate disciplined twice by State Bar

With the May 29 primary elections just days away, anonymous tips to local reporters are flying, detailing dirt on candidates. Some of it's true, some false. The latest white envelope to land on my desk was aimed at Justice of the Peace candidate Robert N. Ray. The real-estate litigation attorney is running for Precinct 2 Place1 against  41-year old Deputy Constable James "Wyatt" Wheelis in the Republican primary.

The unsigned letter claims voters should know Ray has a record of “professional misconduct” with the State Bar of Texas – pertinent since JP courts have jurisdiction in Class C offenses and minor civil matters, and act as a small claims court.
