Tonic is located on San Antonio’s near Northwest side, a short cab ride from the South Texas Medical Center. It’s a typical San Antonio bar, with a mixed clientele of college-age kids and mid-career professionals. But it’s perhaps destined for an infamy that will elude its strip-mall brethren. A couple of years ago, it started spicing up the now ubiquitous karaoke night with the addition of a wide-screen monitor that shows pornography. It's called "Porn-e-oke" and like the flier says, “it's exactly what you think.”
Unsurprisingly, the place is packed.
