Please don't say the S-word before the bond election


In October, the City Council bought into the streetcar plan for downtown, committing $55 million to build two starter lines. Hey, it's the Decade of Downtown, so why not? But the project's honeymoon was short and shabby. For Team Streetcar – the City, County, and VIA Metropolitan Transit – the problems began piling up quickly after the Council's 9-1 vote.

Opponents saw a field full of Trojan horses.
