Shellacked on one side, lame on the other


A swift review of headlines reveals that, for the U.S. news cycle, Mexican President Felipe Calderón's visit to the White House last week came, “amid bad blood,” “at a crucial juncture,” and in an effort to “ease rising tensions.” But like the fabled blind men describing an elephant, the punditry missed the point.
