Granted, when politicians say they’re being called on to run for office, they’re often either lying or, at best, talking about returned phone calls. Not so with Patti Radle.
The former District 5 councilwoman really is being drafted to run for SAISD’s board of trustees, according to several observers.
A handful of activists want Radle to challenge Tom López, who’s held his seat for nearly 27 years and plans to run again in the May 14 election.
“People have asked me to think about it, so I’m thinking about it,” Radle said. But she declined to identify people she’s spoken with about mounting a candidacy in the beleaguered San Antonio Independent School District.
